Resilient through interoperability: how Europe can build its digital infrastructure differently, with David Van den Brande - Athumi
Digital sovereignty is not: copying a U.S. service and putting a European flag on it. Look at energy, telecom or transport: shared, interoperable infrastructure carries an entire market of small, agile players. In this session, Athumi and political technologist Robin Berjon explore how this can also be done digitally, through one design principle: separate the responsibilities. Identity, data storage and applications do not have to be with one party, so you can switch providers without leaving the ecosystem. The demo of verified attestations is an exploration: an invitation to think along about how we best organize digital sovereignty.
